Most athletes want to be remembered as great.  Many of us would like to be remembered as the best of all time at our position or the best at our sport.  The reality is most will never achieve this.  Think for a second of how many athletes there are in the world who want to be remembered like this, hundreds, thousands, millions?  There are so many athletes out there who want something more of themselves.  They want to become great but they need to ask themselves what are they doing to become great.

If you are a high school athlete working in the off season 3 times per week, you are probably not putting in enough time getting better.  Because at the college level you will have to work harder than just 3 times a week to make it, and if you want to go beyond college than you better work even harder.  To be great you need to go beyond a personal expectation to have an opportunity to be remembered as great.  All to often we just do what is expected of us just so we can get by.

As an athlete you need to set expectations for yourself and than come up with a plan on how to accomplish those expectations.  What are you doing that sets yourself apart from your competition.  If you are working out 3 times a week is that good enough for you to become great?  What if your competition works out 4  or 5 times per week so they can be better than you.  Are you going to raise your expectation of yourself so you can be the best?  You need to figure out how much you are willing to sacrifice to achieve your expectations.

Get ready to Unleash Your Potential on your competition.  Go above your expectations to find that success in life.
